MGM Minerals Ltd operates the Patabeda Iron Ore mine in the Patabeda Village, Bonai Subdivision, Sundargarh District, Odisha. The total lease area is 28.397 Ha. The iron content in the ore varies between 55% to 67% with low phosphorus and sulphur content, making it highly desirable for sponge iron production, sinter making and pellet making. This attribute finally contributes to quality steel making.

Highlights

The company carries out the development, operations and production in an extremely systematic and scientific method with infallible technological discipline, adopting state-of-the-art technology and equipment. MGM Minerals has adopted the open cast mining method. The ore is loosened by following deep hole drilling and blasting processes. The loose ore is then excavated and picked up to a size of 400 mm which is then fed to the crushing and screening unit for processing to obtain the desired size and grade.
