Overview
The Mangampet Barytes Mines are a major resource, contributing about 95% of Barytes production in India and about 27% in the world. Thriveni Earthmovers Private Limited was granted the excavation contract work by the Andhra Pradesh Mineral Development Corporation Limited, a state government undertaking of Andhra Pradesh.
Highlights
Thriveni’s scope of work involves the removal of overburden and extraction of baryte ore using HEMM by drilling, controlled blasting, loading, transportation, unloading, stacking and levelling at specified designated areas. The duration of the contract is three years, further extendable by two periods of one year each. The depth of the mine is approximately 320 m spanning from the hillock to the ore body. The average of lead is 5 – 6 km.
