Overview

The Guali Iron Ore block is located in the Keonjhar district of Odisha, and owned by the Odisha Mining Corporation Limited (OMC). It is one of the largest iron ore blocks in the country, covering an area of 358.258 Ha. The block contains high-quality iron ore deposits and is estimated to contain around 198 million tonnes of iron ore reserves with the existing EC capacity of 5.7 Mtpa and the present mine EC capacity in the process of being enhanced to 12.00 Mtpa.

Highlights

OMC has been granted the mining lease for the Guali Iron Ore Block and is responsible for all mining activities on site, including exploration, extraction, processing, and transportation of iron ore. The company is committed to ensuring sustainable mining practices and environmental protection measures are in place to mitigate any potential impact to the local environment.
