Dumper Body Redesign
Challenge
To optimise the load capacity of dumper trucks, thus enabling higher efficiency, productivity and scalability of operations.
Solution
We noticed that the dumper truck bodies were currently not achieving their maximum potential for a particular bulk commodity being mined and designed a bespoke solution to remedy this inconsistency.
Benefit
Each truck’s load bearing capacity was optimised resulting in higher productivity which led to:
• reduced emissions per tonne of material hauled.
• two 240 tonne OB dump trucks and four 100 tonne coal trucks currently functional and being reviewed for futher enhancement.
